Job summary

CANPACK Group in Lackawanna County, PA is seeking a Tooling Inspector/Technician to ensure accurate measurement, calibration, and maintenance of precision tools and equipment.

You will collect data, calibrate inspection and test equipment, inspect tools for defects, track tool life and costs, and maintain housekeeping and ISO/SQF compliance.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Collect, compile, measure, summarize and record data during measuring.

Job description

Essential Functions/Key Deliverables

• Collect, compile, measure, summarize and record data gathered during measuring.
• Calibrateinspection, measurement,and test equipment in order to ensure compliance with published specification.
• Inspect and evaluate toolsto identify defects.
• Track and report tool life and cost based on consumption and production records.
• Perform laboratory housekeeping.
• Maintain laboratory recognition / accreditation.
• Issueand keeprecordof exchanging tools.
• Co-operatewith Production Departmentto optimizetooling consumption, spoilage reductionand technical support.
• Monitor the quantity and quality parameters dependent on the condition of tools, report low stock to principals.
• Maintain required tool stock levels,manage the tools rotationand supervise polishing.
• Collect and archive technical parameters.
• Review tools about quality; licensefor production.
• Assist with the implementation and maintenance of systems, including performing internal audits as required.
• Comply with all Health & Safety regulations, rules, procedures and policies. Comply with all environmental requirements as stipulated in ISO and SQF procedures and guidelines on Health & Safety.
• Perform any other duty reasonable corresponding with the role.
