Job summary

Accelera Staffing is seeking a Precision Tooling Specialist to maintain and improve high-precision tooling systems on the production floor. You will craft, refine, and sustain complex tooling to ensure quality and efficiency across manufacturing processes.

The role requires blueprint interpretation, CAD/CAM CNC programming, and hands-on operation of CNC and manual equipment, with a focus on metrology and continuous improvement on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Formal technical training or equivalent experience in machine tool technology.

Responsibilities

• Engineer and maintain high-precision tooling components to support production cycles.
• Execute machining operations using WEDM, CNC mills, and manual equipment.
• Develop and optimize CNC programs via CAD/CAM software.
• Interpret blueprints to produce tooling within tight tolerances.
• Utilize micrometers, calipers, and other metrology tools to verify quality.
• Mentor junior team members and refine shop floor workflows.

Responsibilities

• Engineer and maintain high-precision components including dies, jigs, gauges, and fixtures to support seamless production cycles.
• Execute complex machining operations using Wire EDM (WEDM), CNC mills, and manual equipment to meet rigorous engineering specifications.
• Develop and optimize CNC programs via CAD/CAM software to enhance production speed and accuracy.
• Interpret intricate blueprints to produce tooling that adheres to exacting tolerances.
• Utilize advanced metrology tools, such as micrometers and calipers, to verify component integrity and quality standards.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement by mentoring junior team members and refining shop floor workflows.

Qualifications

Required Skills

• Formal technical training in machine tool technology or equivalent professional experience.
• Demonstrated proficiency in reading technical blueprints and applying precision measurement techniques.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with a proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex machining challenges.
• Experience operating and setting up standard CNC and manual machining equipment.

Preferred Skills

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in a toolroom or precision machining environment.
• Advanced proficiency in CAD/CAM software for complex part programming.
• Strong mathematical aptitude and organizational capabilities for project management.
• Familiarity with G-Code and M-Code programming languages.
