Job summary

Wabtec Corporation is seeking a Tool and Die Technician to design, build, maintain, and repair tooling, dies, jigs, and weld fixtures used in production operations. This role emphasizes safe, efficient, and repeatable manufacturing with tight tolerances and high uptime.

You will read blueprints and CAD models, operate mills, lathes, grinders, and surface plates, and collaborate with Engineering to implement continuous improvements while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong fixture design and welding background.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and blueprints.
• Proficient with manual and CNC machining equipment.

Responsibilities

• Design, fabricate, assemble, and repair production tooling including dies, jigs, gauges, and weld fixtures.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot tooling issues to minimize downtime.
• Read and interpret blueprints and CAD models to ensure tooling accuracy.
• Maintain compliance with safety and quality standards in the Tool Room.
