Job summary

R&B Wagner, Inc. seeks a skilled Tool and Die Maker to build, repair, and maintain precision tooling. This role requires reading blueprints, performing precision measurement, and setting up machine shop operations to meet exact specifications.

Collaboration with engineering teams, adherence to safety standards, and hands-on machining are essential to support new products and continuous improvement. The position involves using mills, lathes, grinders, and hand finishing, with forklift operation

Qualifications

• High school education and apprenticeship coursework.
• Read and write English, follow verbal instructions, and perform shop math.
• Some computer experience preferred.
• CAD experience preferred (AutoCAD, Inventor).
• Accurite Controller experience preferred.
• ERP experience preferred (Epicor).

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints from instructions or parts to be copied.
• Plan setup and operation of machine shop tools with materials, tolerances, and speeds.
• Establish inspection specs and perform quality checks using precision tools.
• Perform hand finishing to achieve proper fit and finish on tooling.
• Fit and assemble jigs, fixtures, tools, and dies with precision.
• Document quality for parts produced and assist maintenance as needed.
• Work with engineers on tooling feedback and prototype builds.
• Support continuous improvement to reduce downtime and improve reliability.
• Set up and operate mills, lathes, grinders; run special production jobs.
• Operate forklift and perform other duties as assigned.
