Job summary

NIC Global is hiring a Tool & Die Maker for the 2nd shift in Gallatin, Tennessee. You will analyze specifications, set up and operate machine tools, repair dies, and assemble parts to fabricate high-precision components.

The role requires at least 3 years die repair experience, ability to verify dimensions with precision measuring instruments, and the ability to lift 50 lbs. The company offers comprehensive benefits and a safety-first work environment.

Qualifications

• Must have 3 years die repair experience.
• Ability to verify dimensions with measuring instruments.
• Knowledge of tool and die design and construction.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes specifications, lays out metal stock, sets up and operates machine tools, and fits and assembles parts to fabricate.
• Repairs metalworking dies, cutting tools, jigs and fixtures, gauges, and machinists hand tools.
• Applies knowledge of tool and die design and construction, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout, machining, and assembly procedures.
• Studies specifications, such as blueprints, sketches, models, or descriptions, and visualizes product to determine materials required and machines to be used to fabricate parts.
• Computes dimensions, plan layouts, and determines assembly methods and sequence of operations for work involving extremely close tolerances.
