Dienamic Tooling Systems (DTS) is seeking a 2nd shift Tool and Die Maker to coordinate multiple departments in producing precision dies to design specifications. The role requires reading blueprints, setting up conventional and CNC tools, and leading die construction and trials.

The position is full-time, second shift (3 pm–11 pm) in a manufacturing environment. A minimum of 5 years’ die-making experience, a high school diploma, a journeyman status, and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Tool and Die Maker.
• High School Graduate or Equivalent.
• Diemaker Journeyman Status or Equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsabilités

• Follow the die from cradle to customer and oversee all aspects of the tool.
• Conduct test runs with completed tools or dies to ensure parts meet specifications and make adjustments as needed.
• File, grind, shim, and adjust components to fit together properly.
• Fit and assemble parts to make, repair, or modify dies, jigs, gauges, and tools using machine tools and hand tools.
• Lift, position, and secure machined parts on surface plates or work tables using hoists, vises, or angle plates.
• Set up and operate conventional or CNC machines (lathes, mills, grinders) to shape parts to specs.
• Study blueprints and specifications to plan fabrication sequences.
• Verify dimensions and clearances with measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers.
• Lead die construction and perform tool testing.
• Follow safety rules and report unsafe conditions.
