Job summary

Anchor Fabrication in LaVergne, Tennessee is seeking a Metal Stamping Die Maker & Jig/Fixture Craftsman on 2nd shift (2:30 pm–11:00 pm, Monday–Friday) with overtime on weekends. You will analyze specifications, lay out stock, machine parts, and verify conformance to drawings to support precise tooling production.

This full-time on-site role requires 3–5 years of Tool & Die experience, mechanical aptitude, and strong measurement skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of Tool & Die experience (Journeyman’s card preferred).
• Mechanical aptitude, rigorous attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize under schedule pressure.
• Strong communication skills; computer literate; fluent with precision measuring instruments.
• Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Analyze specifications and visualize final products to determine materials and machining processes.
• Compute dimensions; lay out stock; measure, mark, and scribe; machine; and assemble to exacting standards.
• Verify alignments and clearances; ensure conformance of all machined parts to drawings/specifications.
• Examine existing tooling and propose design improvements for function and manufacturability.
