Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of Tool & Die, machining, or manufacturing experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience operating lathes, milling machines, grinders, or similar machining equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and manufacturing specifications.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments.
• Basic mathematical skills (fractions, percentages, ratios).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet production deadlines.
• Basic computer skills and effective communication.
• Ability to follow written, verbal, and technical instructions.
• Flexibility to work mandatory overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, repair, modify, and maintain dies, jigs, fixtures, gauges, and tooling.
• Set up and operate machine tools, including lathes, milling machines, shapers, and grinders.
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and drawings to determine machining requirements.
• Measure, mark, and lay out metal stock for machining and fabrication.
• Plan machining operations and determine assembly methods.
• Inspect finished parts with precision instruments to verify accuracy.
• Troubleshoot tooling issues and assist with repairs to equipment.
• Collaborate with Engineering and production to improve tooling performance.
• Assist other Tool & Die Makers, Machinists, and Press Operators with complex setups.
• Evaluate and recommend modifications to tools, dies, and fixtures.
• Develop sketches or specs for specialty tooling as needed.
• Identify and report non-conforming products or tooling issues.
