Job summary

Ellsworth Corporation is hiring a Machine Operator for the TapeCase Division in Elk Grove Village, IL. The role involves setting up and safely operating production machinery, performing routine maintenance, and conducting quality inspections during the production process.

You will troubleshoot minor issues, manage changeovers, and dispense molten adhesives on paper lines while following safety protocols and using power and hand tools as required.

Qualifications

• Requires reading basic math and operating machinery.
• Experience in production environments preferred but not required.
• Must be able to lift/move up to 50 pounds and perform basic maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and safely operates production machinery.
• Inspects production machinery and troubleshoots minor issues.
• Performs necessary preventative maintenance.
• Conducts quality inspections at the source.
• Performs changeovers of dies, gear assemblies and pump filters.
• Sets up dispensing production machinery.
• Safely operates required power and hand tools.
• Troubleshoots and reports corrective actions after rectifying machine issues.
• Dispense molten adhesives onto paper lines during the production process.
