Ellsworth Adhesives, TapeCase Division, Elk Grove Village, IL, seeks a Machine Operator to set up and safely operate production machinery, perform changeovers and quality inspections on paper lines with molten adhesives.

The ideal candidate has 2 years of production experience (3 preferred), a high school diploma or equivalent, forklift certification within 3 months, and the ability to read, perform basic math, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years production work experience; 3 years preferred.
• Forklift certification within 3 months of hire.
• Ability to read and perform basic math.
• Ability to learn how to operate machinery and perform basic maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Set up and safely operates production machinery.
• Inspects production machinery and troubleshoots minor issues.
• Performs necessary preventive maintenance.
• Conducts quality inspections at the source.
• Performs changeovers of dies, gear assemblies and pump filters.
• Sets up dispensing production machinery.
• Safely operates required power and hand tools.
• Troubleshoots and reports corrective actions after rectifying machine issues.
• Dispense molten adhesives onto paper lines during the production process.
