Job summary

Ellsworth Adhesives, part of Ellsworth Corporation, is seeking a Machine Operator for the TapeCase Division in Elk Grove Village, IL. You will set up and run production machinery, perform preventive maintenance, and assure quality on the line.

Qualifications

• 2 years of production work experience
• 3 years of production work experience preferred
• High school diploma or equivalency
• Forklift certification required within 3 months of hire
• Ability to read
• Basic Math
• Ability to learn how to operate machinery
• Ability to provide basic maintenance to machinery
• Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Sets up and safely operates production machinery
• Inspects production machinery and troubleshoots minor issues
• Performs necessary preventative maintenance
• Conducts quality inspections at the source
• Performs changeovers of dies, gear assemblies and pump filters
• Sets up dispensing production machinery
• Safely operates required power and hand tools
• Troubleshoots and reports corrective actions after rectifying machine issues
• Dispense molten adhesives onto paper lines during the production process
