Job summary

TE Wire & Cable LLC in Saddle Brook, NJ, seeks a Taping Machine Operator for the 3rd shift (11:30 PM–8:00 AM). You set up reels, lace wire, load tapes, and monitor oven and spark tester performance to meet spec.

Responsibilities

• Set up reels of wire into payoff stands and feed into takeup.
• Lace wire through machine-oven-capstan spark tester and onto takeup reel.
• Load tapes onto taping heads and drain wire per job requirements.
• Set oven controllers to required temperatures per specification.
• Start machine and check tape lay; run to required footage.
• Maintain quality standards and run machines at specification speeds.
• Make necessary repairs to faults or damaged material per specifications.

More Specifically The Taping Machine Operator

• Sets up reels of wire into the payoff stands and empties reel into the takeup
• Laces wire through the machine-oven-capstan spark tester and onto the takeup reel.
• Loads tapes onto the taping heads and drains wire when applicable per job requirement.
• Sets oven controllers if applpicaple to the required temperatures per specification.
• Starts machine and checks tape lay. Sets spark tester at specification voltage. Runs to required footage.
• Maintains quality satandards and runs machines at specification speeds.
• Make all necessary repairs to any faults or damaged material per specifications.

Available Shift

• 3rd shift 11:30PM- 8:00AM

Some Manufacturing / Production experience needed, will train the right candidate!

Qualifications:
