Job summary

Granite Construction is seeking a qualified estimator to provide quantity take-offs and ongoing technical support to the estimating staff, ensuring accurate and timely estimates for bids.

You will review plans, develop data (take-offs, material prices, labor costs, equipment) and contribute to bid strategy while maintaining organized files and mentoring interns and junior team members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• 2-4 years take-off estimating experience preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office and CAD tools; ability to read engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Review plans/specifications with estimating team to determine take-off needs.
• Develop data including quantity take-offs, material prices, labor costs, and equipment.
• Research historical data to develop guidelines for future estimates.
• Review take-off data with estimating team and assist in Bid Closing.
• Maintain files of working documents to support bid accuracy.
