Job summary

Granite Construction Company seeks an experienced estimator to develop accurate proposals for private and public works, ensuring responsive bidding and strong cost control. You will analyze take-offs, labor, materials, and equipment costs, and collaborate with field teams to capture site conditions.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in construction estimating, proficiency with AGTEK Take-off and Primavera scheduling, and a civil engineering or related degree.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of construction estimating support, engineering, field support, or similar experience.
• 4+ years estimating experience.
• Proficiency with MS Office products and estimating software.
• Advanced knowledge of civil and construction principles.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Advanced knowledge of UDBe requirements.

Responsibilities

• Comprehend and administer a safety program and foster a culture of safety.
• Analyze and compile estimate data for labor, materials, and equipment.
• Review drawings and site conditions for final estimate.
• Evaluate bidding risks, strategies, and present to senior management.
• Communicate estimate information to field operations at pre-construction meetings.
• Develop relationships to increase bid opportunities in the regional market.
