Job summary

MiTek is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to operate and set up stamping equipment, forklifts, and overhead cranes in Tolleson, AZ. You will perform modifications to dies, assist with tool changes, and help improve processes while maintaining safety standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and basic math skills; forklift experience is preferred. Strong reliability and the ability to work overtime as needed are important for success at MiTek.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Basic math: add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
• Ability to read a tape measure and use measuring tools.
• Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and management.
• Experience with safety procedures and PPE usage preferred.
• Previous forklift experience is advantageous but not required.

Responsibilities

• Set up machinery for manufacturing.
• Set up stamping dies in presses.
• Perform tooling changes according to schedules.
• Carry out simple troubleshooting and tool/die repairs to keep production on schedule.
• Perform required preventative maintenance.
• Monitor press, tooling and secondary systems during production.
• Attend shift on time and be ready at the work station at the start of the shift.
