Job summary

MiTek in Tolleson, AZ is seeking a manufacturing technician to operate automatic equipment, forklifts, and overhead cranes, and to perform stamping die changes. You will help keep production on schedule through proactive maintenance and precise tool changes.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and basic math, plus the ability to read a tape measure and follow safety instructions. Candidates with forklift experience are preferred; overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, or related experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively about work and safety issues.
• Basic math including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• Ability to understand and follow written or oral instructions.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Forklift experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Set up machinery for manufacturing.
• Set up stamping dies in presses.
• Perform tooling changes according to schedules.
• Perform simple troubleshooting and tool and die repair to keep production on schedule.
• Perform required preventative maintenance.
• Monitor press, tooling and secondary systems during manufacturing.
• Attend all duties on schedule; overtime may be required.
