Job summary

Marmon IEI is seeking a Sheetmetal Fabricator to manufacture stainless steel electrical enclosures using grinding, finishing, and welding processes. You will read drawings, follow routers and BOMs, and ensure quality through inspection and defect removal.

Responsibilities include operating belt-stroke sanders, performing welds, and maintaining safety and housekeeping. The role requires standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs, with training on ISO procedures and Lean initiatives.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Manufacturing environment experience advantageous.
• Ability to read job specifications.
• Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate stainless steel enclosures using grinding, finishing, and welding processes.
• Achieve grained finish on enclosures and components.
• Inspect products for conformance to specifications and remove defects.
• Follow drawings, routers, BOMs, and verbal instructions to meet quality standards.
• Support Lean/5S and safety initiatives; comply with ISO/QMS procedures.
