Job summary

Swiderski Equipment is seeking a Precision Solutions Service Technician to install, configure, diagnose, and support advanced precision technology across equipment in Wisconsin. You will keep machines running accurately and reliably in the field, calibrating systems to manufacturer specs while documenting work and communicating with customers.

The ideal candidate has mechanical/electrical aptitude, strong problem‑solving and communication skills, and a willingness to travel to customer sites.

Qualifications

  • Advanced mechanical, electrical, and technical aptitude.
  • Experience diagnosing and repairing complex equipment and integrated technology systems.
  • Knowledge of precision agriculture systems (planting, spraying, harvesting, guidance tech).
  • Ability to analyze system data and diagnostic information.
  • Strong communication to explain technical concepts clearly.
  • Self-motivation and ability to work independently.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and expand expertise.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed.
  • Prior experience in agriculture, diesel, heavy equipment, or precision tech (preferred).
  • Technical diploma, certification, or equivalent hands-on experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, diagnose, and support precision technology across equipment.
  • Ensure machines operate efficiently, accurately, and reliably in the field.
  • Calibrate systems to manufacturer specs and dealership standards.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, software, and communication issues with advanced tools.
  • Troubleshoot integrated systems including displays, receivers, controllers, sensors, and connectivity.
  • Perform repairs, firmware/software upgrades, and detailed equipment inspections.
  • Document inspection results, service work, and recommended solutions.
  • Explain system functionality to customers after installation or repair.
  • Maintain work orders, warranty docs, and service records.
  • Communicate progress and challenges with the Service Manager.
  • Travel to customer sites, trainings, and meetings as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

What You’ll Do

As a Precision Solutions Service Technician, you’ll install, configure, diagnose, and support advanced precision technology across a wide range of equipment. Your work ensures customers machines operate efficiently, accurately, and reliably in the field.

  • Installing, configuring, and calibrating precision technology systems with a high level of accuracy
  • Completing equipment setup according to manufacturer specifications and dealership standards
  • Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, software, and communication issues using advanced diagnostic tools
  • Troubleshooting integrated systems including displays, receivers, controllers, sensors, and connectivity components
  • Performing repairs, updates, and firmware/software upgrades following best practices
  • Conducting detailed equipment inspections and identifying potential issues before they impact performance
  • Clearly documenting inspection results, service work, and recommended solutions
  • Supporting customers by explaining system functionality after installation or repair
  • Maintaining accurate work orders, warranty documentation, and service records
  • Communicating proactively with the Precision Solutions Service Manager on job progress and challenges
  • Traveling to customer sites, trainings, and meetings as needed
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment
