Job summary

RTX is seeking a skilled assembler with strong micro-soldering and inspection capabilities to support wire harness and cable assembly work. The role involves repairing, replacing, and verifying electrical and mechanical components while following engineering guidance.

The candidate will work under a microscope, read schematics and blueprints, and participate in a secure hiring process. A HS diploma or technical degree and 2+ years of related experience are required; IPC certifications are

Qualifications

• Requires HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or 2-year post-high school training) with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Minimum 2 years of micro-soldering of fine pitch SMT components.
• Verification/Inspection experience with applicable standards and documentation.
• IPC 610/IPC 620/IPC J-STD-001 solder certs and related tooling are valued.

Responsibilities

• Micro-soldering under a microscope.
• Quality verification/inspection under a microscope.
• Repair and replacement of damaged wire harnesses and cable assemblies.
• Replace mechanical and electrical components.
• Identify failures and suggest corrective actions.
• Follow verbal/conceptual instructions to produce results.
• Inform management of unresolved or potential issues affecting schedule/quality.
• Support Engineering development and lab assignments.
