Job summary

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated in San Diego seeks experienced electronics assemblers to perform wire and cable harness assembly, soldering, crimping, and routing to meet electrical schematics and BOMs with high workmanship standards.

The role supports First Article Assembly, troubleshooting and rework, and requires a high school diploma or equivalent; trade certification and IPC/J training are highly preferred. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent required.
• Trade school certification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years closely related assembly experience in electromechanical environment.
• Experience with wire & cable harness assembly and reading wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Perform wire preparation: stripping, tinning, lead prep, termination.
• Hand solder wires and cables to connectors meeting workmanship standards.
• Crimp, stake, fasten, and secure wires and connectors using hand and pneumatic tools.
• Assemble wire harnesses per electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, BOMs, and work instructions.
• Support First Article Assembly (FAI) builds; identify discrepancies and provide feedback to engineering/manufacturing.
• Perform inspections, testing (continuity, IR, automated electrical tests) and rework as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and complete production documentation and quality logs.
