Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years in a production environment; metals industry or slitter operator experience preferred.
• Willingness to work assigned overtime, sometimes on short notice.
• Ability to read measuring devices accurately.
• Basic math skills for measurement and calculations.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Must be able to pass a physical examination (vision, hearing, mobility).
• Demonstrated reliable work history and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Read work orders to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Set stops or guides to specified lengths as indicated by scales or templates.
• Activate machine controls and monitor operation to detect defects or malfunctions.
• Measure workpiece dimensions to ensure accuracy and adherence to specifications; inspect material quality.
• Perform routine maintenance and address minor machine issues as needed.
• Execute other duties to support production efficiency and team goals.
