Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 1–2 years in a production process, preferably metals.
• Proven ability to read and interpret work orders and specifications.
• Ability to measure with precision using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Reliable, detail-oriented worker with good vision and mobility.

Responsibilities

• Measure and verify product dimensions using micrometers, gauges, calipers, templates, or rulers to ensure specifications.
• Inspect finished products for defects such as chips or surface issues and sort by type.
• Read and interpret production schedules or work orders for material specs, lines, dimensions, and tolerances.
• Set up, operate, and tend to the Cut to Length machine.
• Start machines, monitor operations, and record run data.
• Adjust machine speeds and settings to match product specs using gauges and hand tools.
• Maintain and lubricate equipment regularly.
• Position and secure products on machine beds against fixtures or stops.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
