Job summary

Odyssey Logistics & Technology Corporation in Cleveland, OH is seeking a dependable Slitter Line Operator to set up, operate, and maintain slitting equipment, producing precise widths while meeting product quality and safety standards.

The role may also support receiving, shipping, inventory organization, and movement of materials using forklifts, cranes, and other warehouse equipment. This is an on-site, safety-sensitive position with potential overtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 6 months to 1 year of previous manufacturing or slitting-line experience required.
• No supervisory responsibility; works collaboratively with supervisors, quality control, and other operators.
• Forklift, overhead crane, track mobile, and handheld RFID scanner experience preferred.
• Safety awareness, analytical skills, communication, teamwork, time management, initiative, reliability, accountability, and attention to quality.

Responsibilities

• Slitting Operations & Product Quality: Set up and operate slitting machinery; adjust knives, spacers, tension, and guides to meet job specifications.
• Monitor machine performance, inspect finished products, record measurements and production data, perform routine maintenance, and report major issues.
• Warehouse & Material Handling: Load and unload materials using cranes, hoists, forklifts, and other equipment; organize inventory and package steel coils for shipment.
