Job summary

Allegion in Chino, CA is seeking a Machine Operator to set up and run sheet metal fabrication machinery and welding equipment, ensuring parts meet tolerances. You will read blueprints and BOMs, perform quality checks with calipers and tape measures, and maintain a safe, organized work area.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Experience operating sheet metal fabrication machinery and welding tools is required.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and BOMs is required.
• Basic shop mathematics and use of precision measuring tools is required.
• Vocational training or welding certification is preferred; forklift certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate sheet metal fabrication machinery and welding equipment per SOPs.
• Plan and perform welding across various positions and read blueprints.
• Inspect parts using calipers, tape measures, and levels for quality control.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on machinery and tools.
• Operate hand/power tools and assist with material handling including forklifts.
