Job summary

Allegion in Chino, CA is seeking a Machine Operator to set up and operate sheet metal fabrication and welding equipment, read blueprints, perform quality inspections, and maintain a safe, efficient work area. You will run CNC and manual equipment, perform maintenance, and handle materials with standard tools.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent, 1+ years in sheet metal or welding, and ability to read drawings and BOMs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience (Required)
• 1+ years of experience operating sheet metal fabrication machinery, N/C equipment, or welding tools (Required)
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical drawings, bills of materials, and product nomenclature (Required)
• Proven ability to perform basic shop mathematics and use precision measuring instruments such as calipers and tape measures (Required)
• Vocational training, welding certification, or formal technical trade education (Preferred)
• Forklift certification or ability/willingness to obtain certification (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual and N/C sheet metal fabricating and welding equipment in accordance with SOPs.
• Plan, lay out, and perform arc and acetylene welding on various metals and alloys across vertical, horizontal, and overhead positions.
• Interpret and work from blueprints, engineering drawings, sketches, and BOMs.
• Perform quality inspections using precision measuring tools including calipers, tape measures, and levels.
• Conduct routine preventative maintenance on assigned machinery and tools.
• Operate hand and power tools (grinders, drills, sanders), perform manual material handling, and operate forklifts.
• Perform industrial paint spraying and order preparation as needed.

Machine Operator – Chino, CA

The Machine Operator is responsible for setting up and operating sheet metal fabricating machinery and welding equipment to produce precision parts within established tolerances. As a Machine Operator, you will work from technical drawings and orders to execute fabrication, welding, and quality inspections with a moderate degree of autonomy while maintaining a safe and efficient work area.

What You Will Do

Compensation

This range is provided by Allegion. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.

• The expected Base Hourly Range: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
