Job summary

Allegion in Chino, CA seeks a Machine Operator to set up and run sheet metal fabrication machinery and welding equipment according to SOPs, using blueprints and BOMs for accurate production.

You will read drawings, perform arc and acetylene welding, inspect with precision tools, and maintain equipment. Occasional forklift operation and paint spraying may be required to support production.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience operating sheet metal fabrication machinery, NC equipment, or welding tools (1+ years).
• Ability to read/interpret technical drawings, BOMs, and product nomenclature.
• Basic shop math and use of precision measuring tools (calipers, tapes).
• Vocational training or welding certification preferred.
• Forklift certification preferred or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate sheet metal fabrication and welding equipment per SOPs.
• Plan and perform arc and acetylene welding across various positions.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, sketches, and BOMs.
• Perform quality inspections with calipers, tape measures, and levels.
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance on machinery and tools.
• Operate hand/power tools and forklifts; assist with material handling and paint spraying.
