Job summary

Tru Vue Inc. is seeking a Sandblaster to perform abrasive blasting and surface prep on metal and other materials. You’ll remove rust, scale, and contaminants prior to coating, welding, or finishing operations, while safely operating blasting equipment and meeting production schedules.

The role requires reading instructions, using measuring tools, and maintaining a clean, 6S-compliant workspace. A HS diploma and prior blasting or manufacturing experience are preferred, with an hourly rate of

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in sandblasting, manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial painting preferred.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions and safety procedures.
• Ability to use measuring and inspection tools.
• Forklift or overhead crane experience is a plus.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Strong safety awareness.
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Operate sandblasting and abrasive blasting equipment safely and efficiently.
• Prepare surfaces by removing rust, paint, mill scale, and other contaminants.
• Inspect workpieces and verify surface preparation requirements are met.
• Select appropriate blasting media, equipment settings, and protective gear.
• Perform routine equipment inspections and basic preventive maintenance.
• Follow work instructions, quality standards, and production schedules.
• Comply with all environmental, health, and safety requirements.
• Assist in troubleshooting and repair of production equipment.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on production equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area using 6S principles.
• Document work progress in CMMS and communicate status to partners.
• Other duties as assigned.
