Job summary

Tru Vue Inc. is seeking a Sandblaster/Sandblast Operator to perform abrasive blasting on metal surfaces, removing rust, paint, and contaminants prior to coating or finishing. The role requires safe operation of blasting equipment, quality inspection, and adherence to production schedules.

Hours are Sunday-Thursday, 10:00pm–6:30am, with a base rate of $24.00/hour plus a small shift differential. A high school diploma and experience in related manufacturing settings are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in sandblasting, manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial painting preferred.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions and safety procedures.
• Ability to use measuring and inspection tools.

Responsibilities

• Operate sandblasting and abrasive blasting equipment safely and efficiently.
• Prepare surfaces by removing rust, paint, mill scale, and other contaminants.
• Inspect workpieces and verify surface preparation requirements are met.
• Select appropriate blasting media, equipment settings, and protective gear.
• Perform routine equipment inspections and basic preventive maintenance.
• Follow work instructions, quality standards, and production schedules.
• Comply with environmental, health, and safety requirements.
• Assist in troubleshooting and repair of production equipment.
• Document work progress and communicate status.
