Job summary

Tru Vue Inc. is seeking a Sandblaster to perform abrasive blasting and surface preparation on metal and materials prior to coating or finishing operations. Safe operation of blasting equipment, quality checks, and adherence to production schedules are essential.

You will inspect surfaces, select blasting media, and perform routine maintenance while ensuring a clean, organized workspace and strict adherence to 6S principles. Prior blasting or manufacturing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in sandblasting, manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial painting preferred.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions and safety procedures.
• Ability to use measuring and inspection tools.
• Forklift or overhead crane experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate sandblasting and abrasive blasting equipment safely and efficiently.
• Prepare surfaces by removing rust, paint, mill scale, and other contaminants.
• Inspect workpieces and verify surface preparation requirements are met.
• Select appropriate blasting media, equipment settings, and protective gear.
• Perform routine equipment inspections and basic preventive maintenance.
• Follow work instructions, quality standards, and production schedules.
• Comply with environmental, health, and safety requirements.
• Assist in troubleshooting and repair of production equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area using 6S principles.
• Document work progress in CMMS and communicate status to partners.
• Other duties as assigned.
