Job summary

Tru Vue Inc., a segment of Apogee Enterprises, is seeking a Sandblaster/Sandblast Operator in Minneapolis, MN. You will operate blasting equipment to remove rust and contaminants, ensure surface readiness, and maintain a clean, safe work area in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities include inspecting surfaces, selecting media and settings, and performing routine maintenance. A high school diploma and OSHA-compliant practices are expected, with a shift that runs 2:00pm–10:30pm and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in sandblasting, manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial painting preferred.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions and safety procedures.
• Ability to use measuring and inspection tools.
• Forklift or overhead crane experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate sandblasting and abrasive blasting equipment safely and efficiently.
• Prepare surfaces by removing rust, paint, mill scale, and other contaminants.
• Inspect workpieces and verify surface preparation requirements are met.
• Select appropriate blasting media, equipment settings, and protective gear.
• Perform routine equipment inspections and basic preventive maintenance.
• Follow work instructions, quality standards, and production schedules.
• Comply with environmental, health, and safety requirements.
• Assist in troubleshooting and repair of production equipment.
• Document work progress in CMMS and communicate status to partners.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area using 6S principles.
