Job summary

Tru Vue Inc. is seeking a Sandblaster/Sandblast Operator to perform abrasive blasting and surface preparation on metal and other materials. You will safely operate blasting equipment, remove rust and contaminants, and ensure surfaces meet preparation requirements before coating or finishing.

The role requires adherence to production schedules and safety standards, with an emphasis on quality and teamwork in a manufacturing environment. Compensation is $24.00/hr with benefits included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in sandblasting, manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial painting preferred.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions and safety procedures.
• Ability to use measuring and inspection tools.
• Forklift or overhead crane experience is a plus.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Strong safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Operate sandblasting equipment safely and efficiently.
• Prepare surfaces by removing rust, paint, mill scale, and contaminants.
• Inspect workpieces and verify surface preparation requirements.
• Select appropriate blasting media and protective gear.
• Perform routine equipment inspections and basic preventive maintenance.
• Follow work instructions and production schedules.
• Comply with environmental, health, and safety requirements.
• Assist in troubleshooting and repair of production equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area using 6S principles.
• Document progress in CMMS and communicate status to partners.
