Job summary

Aerotek in Plano, TX is seeking a Quality Control Inspector for a 12-month contract to perform inspections, tests, and documentation throughout manufacturing. You will read DWGs, use precision tools, and determine conformance while collaborating with the quality lead and production staff.

You must have extensive QC experience, be able to lift up to 50 lbs, and be available for overtime in a production setting. ITAR eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• 13 years of quality control or inspection experience in manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret DWGs, blueprints and symbols.
• Proficiency with precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, rulers).
• Strong math for data reporting and tolerances calculation.
• High attention to detail and accurate record keeping.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Overtime availability and reliability in a production environment.
• High school diploma and ITAR eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Perform QC inspections, checks, and tests at various production stages.
• Read and interpret blueprints/DWGs and tolerances.
• Monitor operations to ensure quality and production standards.
• Recommend process adjustments for quality improvements.
• Inspect, test, and measure using precision tools to verify dimensions.
• Conduct visual inspections of cables, assemblies, and components.
• Decide to accept or reject items based on results and specs.
• Enter inspection data into Costpoint ERP and maintain records.
• Collaborate with quality lead and production staff to drive improvements.
