Job summary

Intellisense Systems, Inc. in Torrance, CA seeks a Quality Inspector to perform in‑process, final, and source inspections on electro‑mechanical assemblies, PCBAs, and finished products to verify conformance to drawings and workmanship standards.

The role requires 1–3+ years in quality inspection within manufacturing, knowledge of GD&T, and strong attention to detail. IPC certification is preferred but not required. U.S. export controls apply.

Qualifications

• Must read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T calls.
• Experience inspecting electro‑mechanical/electronic assemblies.
• Familiarity with IPC/AS9100 or ISO 9001 is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming, in‑process, and final inspection of assemblies against drawings and specs.
• Inspect PCBAs and cable/wire harnesses for IPC‑A‑610 and IPC/WHMA‑A‑620 conformance.
• Verify dimensional conformance using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and optical comparators.
• Document inspection results and record nonconformances per QMS.
• Support First Article Inspections (FAIRs) per AS9102 requirements.
• Maintain calibration and proper use of inspection equipment.
• Participate in MRB activities and root cause corrective actions.
• Communicate quality issues to manufacturing and engineering.
• Assist internal and customer audits as needed.
