Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Quality Control Inspector for a 12-month contract in the Dallas area. You will perform mechanical and electronic QC inspections, read DWGs, document results, and help improve processes. Expect daily use of calipers, micrometers, gauges, and the Costpoint ERP system. Work hours typically run 6:30 a.m.

to 4:30 p.m. on an 80/9 schedule with occasional overtime. The team is small, and you will collaborate closely with the quality lead and production staff in a climate-controlled

Qualifications

• 13 years in quality control or a similar manufacturing role.
• Proven QC inspector experience.
• Ability to read DWGs/blueprints.
• Experience with precision measurement tools.
• Strong math skills for data reporting.
• High attention to detail.
• Eligibility to work under ITAR requirements.
• Experience in electronic manufacturing or cable inspection.
• ERP data entry experience (Costpoint).

Responsibilities

• Perform QC inspections, checks, and tests at various production stages.
• Read and interpret blueprints, DWGs, and specifications.
• Monitor production to meet quality and production standards.
• Recommend process adjustments for quality issues.
• Measure with calipers, micrometers, gauges, and rulers.
• Visual inspection of cables and components.
• Operate inspection equipment safely and accurately.
• Decide to accept or reject finished items based on results.
• Segregate nonconforming items and document decisions.
• Record data for quality documentation and analysis.
• Enter results into Costpoint ERP.
• Collaborate with quality lead and production staff.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Support overtime as needed.
