Job summary

Teledyne Reynolds, a Teledyne Technologies unit, seeks an inspector to support Receiving, In-Process and Final inspections in a high-reliability environment in Torrance, CA. You will review drawings, perform calibrated measurements, document results, and ensure conformance with AS9100/AS9102 expectations.

Candidate must be US citizen, with at least 2 years of hands-on inspection experience, able to lift 25 lbs, and capable of using PC-DMIS or Hexagon CMM.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on inspection experience.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics.
• Knowledge of GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
• Experience inspecting molded plastic, rubber, ceramic, connector, and cable assemblies.
• Proficient with calipers, micrometers, pin gages, height gages, and optical measurement.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Computer literate. Proficient in Microsoft Office and email.
• Ability to scan documents and upload them to web portals.
• Detail oriented and organized.
• Clear verbal and written communication.
• Willing to learn new skills and take on new challenges.
• Preferred: Defense or aerospace experience.
• Preferred: Ability to use PC-DMIS and Hexagon CMM.
• Preferred: Familiarity with TipQA.
• Preferred: AS9102 FAI and AS9100 familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Performs Receiving Inspection by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; segregating and tagging nonconforming material; initiating NCRs.
• Performs In-Process Inspection by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to the production supervisor.
• Performs Final Inspection by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; verifying rework against the approved disposition.
• Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; inputting data into the quality database.
• Keeps measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions; verifying calibration status before use; reporting out-of-cal or damaged equipment.
• Interacts with customer and Government source inspectors by supporting source inspections and customer visits; preparing records and product as directed by the program manager.
• Scans inspection paperwork by uploading it to the relevant portals.
• Performs other responsibilities as assigned by management.
