Job summary

Opella is hiring a Processing Technician to operate and maintain production lines, ensuring safety, quality, and output in a 2nd shift role. You will measure raw materials, run equipment like mills and tableting presses, and keep thorough production records while following cGMP and SOPs.

The position emphasizes teamwork and ongoing skill development. The role requires lifting up to 60 pounds, on-site work, and adherence to FDA standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in manufacturing and operating high-speed packaging or assembly equipment.
• Proficiency with packaging machinery and tools such as fillers, cappers, labelers, and bundlers.
• Ability to lift 25–60 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Willing to undergo training and work in environments with dust and hazards.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the quality and quantity of raw materials are accurately measured to produce finished bulk products according to formulations and procedures.
• Learn to operate mills, grinders, conveyors, mixers, and tableting presses to create tablets, ointments, creams, liquids, and powders.
• Monitor the manufacturing process and implement control factors to keep production within limits.
• Maintain detailed production records, follow procedures, and complete production orders efficiently.
• Keep equipment and work areas clean, organized, and well-maintained.
• Ensure a safe work environment, report hazards, and comply with FDA and cGMP requirements.
