Job summary

Opella is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure the reliability and maintenance of packaging equipment in a cGMP environment. You will support changeovers, equipment setup, and continuous improvement initiatives on the 1st shift (Monday-Thursday, 4:00am-2:30pm).

You must have a High School Diploma or GED and at least four years of experience with automated controls or electromechanical manufacturing equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 4 years of experience with automated controls and/or electromechanical manufacturing equipment.
• Willing to undergo training and comply with dress code; exposure to product, dust, grease and packaging machinery hazards.

Responsibilities

• Preventive and corrective maintenance of packaging equipment.
• Assist packaging personnel in changeover and operation of packaging equipment.
• Assist Engineering in projects and continuous improvement efforts.
• Set up and adjust equipment for different product sizes per setup sheets.
• Provide input to PM routines and maintenance improvements.
• Observe operation to diagnose problems and implement fixes.
• Repair dismantling and replacement of parts; return equipment to operation.
• Prepare specifications for major repair parts from vendors or machine shops.
• Suggest improvements for equipment operation and changeover.
• Collaborate with packaging operations to maximize efficiency.
• Maintain clean work areas per FDA-cGMP requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
