BESTAFF is hiring a Press Brake Operator for a family-owned shop in New Albany, IN. This 2nd shift role offers steady hours, weekends off, and pay based on experience. You will set up and run a press brake, read blueprints, select tooling, and ensure parts meet specs.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of hands-on experience with 11-gauge material, strong measuring skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, all while maintaining safety in a machine shop environment.

• Experience forming 11 gauge material.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a press brake to form 11 gauge sheet metal parts to specification.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to set up each job.
• Select and install the correct tooling and dies for each part.
• Measure and check bends and angles using tape measures, calipers, and protractors.
• Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality, and make adjustments as needed.
• Keep your work area clean, organized, and safe in a machine shop setting.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
