Job summary

Total Staffing Solutions, Inc. in Naperville, IL is seeking a 2nd shift Press Brake Operator to set up and operate press brakes, read blueprints, and inspect parts to meet tight tolerances. You will install tooling, verify dimensions, and coordinate with fabrication teams throughout the shift.

The ideal candidate has press brake experience (1–2 years) with strong math, geometry, and measurement skills, plus experience in sheet-metal fabrication. Amada experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have press brake experience (1-2 years minimum), Amada experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and perform precise measurements.
• Strong math skills including fractions and geometry.
• Experience in sheet-metal fabrication environment.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate press brake machines to form and bend sheet metal according to production specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, work orders, and production instructions.
• Select and install tooling, dies, and machine setups for different jobs.
• Measure and inspect completed parts to ensure they meet required dimensions and quality standards.
• Operate equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining production requirements.
• Make adjustments to machine settings and tooling to achieve accurate bends.
• Work with various sheet metal types and gauges, including stainless steel.
• Use precision measuring tools like calipers and tape measures for inspections.
• Perform first-piece and in-process inspections to verify quality.
• Identify and communicate dimensional or production issues to supervisors.
