Job summary

Spherion Staffing, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented Brake Press Machine Operator to join our production team in New Albany, IN. You will execute tooling setup and changeovers, operate brake press equipment to form precise metal parts, and perform visual quality inspections against strict specifications.

The role requires reading a tape measure and protractor, standing for long periods, and adhering to safety protocols in a fast-paced environment. Overtime and weekend availability may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Ability to work independently and with others.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read a tape measure and protractor.

Responsibilities

• Conduct changeovers to different angles and sizes to ensure parts are formed per specifications.
• Check and visually inspect produced parts for defects.
• Install dies during tooling changes and adjust equipment to specifications.
• Enter production quantities for each order into the computer system.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
• Assist in other departments as needed.
