LensCrafters in Maryland is seeking a Part-Time Optician. You will greet customers, fit and adjust eyewear, and record precise measurements to ensure top quality resolutions. You will lead others in optical knowledge and help co-workers with complex prescriptions.

Ideal candidates have ABO Certification, optical dispensing experience, and a passion for fashion trends. You will use an iPad, POS systems, and maintain an organized, customer-focused store.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• ABO Certification.
• Optical dispensing experience.
• Strong customer service skills: communicator, listener & team builder.
• Knowledge of current store merchandise.
• Strong basic math skills.
• Awareness of current fashion trends.
• Selling skills - ability to use & carry an iPad / tablet.
• Familiarity with POS, computers & calculators.
• Embrace new technology & change.

Responsibilities

• Greets all customers with a warm welcome right away, exchanges names, and explains what to expect.
• Custom fits glasses and places prescription in lenses.
• Acts as a leader in optical acumen and provides a voice for associates.
• Takes and records measurements, adjusts eyewear, ensuring finished eyewear meets standards.
• Attracts new customers.
• Explores needs & priorities by asking open-ended questions.
• Reads cues, reviews prescriptions, and consults with Optician as needed.
• Assists co-workers with complex product needs & prescriptions.
• Uses store tools and adheres to Brand Store Commitments.
• Delivers superior product knowledge and explains lens/frame features and benefits.
• Maintains store appearance and assets; safe work practices.
