Job summary

Hoya Vision Care in the United States (Texas) seeks an AR/HV Lab Technician to support coating operations. You will prepare lenses for AR coating, run computer-controlled equipment, and maintain clean, organized workstations while meeting hourly production goals.

The role requires attention to detail, basic math, and ability to work overtime or weekends as needed. Experience with automated equipment is preferred and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Able to read and write English language well.
• Experience in the optical industry related to ophthalmic lenses is desired.
• Must be able to work overtime, Saturdays and Sundays, and some holidays when needed.
• Good hand-to-eye coordination.
• Able to analyze and record yield data accurately.
• Experience or knowledge working with automated equipment.
• Work without constant supervision.

Responsibilities

• Follow all SOPs and best practices for the AR/HV department.
• Ensure lenses are clean of dust and debris.
• Inspection, sorting, washing, and prepping lenses for AR coating.
• Setting up lenses into domes, setting domes into AR machine.
• Machine maintenance, including cleaning and scrubbing of exterior machine parts and inside of the machine.
• Help routing work.
• Maintains workstation clean and organized.
• Maintains hourly production goals and yield.
• Able to work on computer-controlled equipment.
• Be able to multi-task as required by workflow.
