Job summary

Kids for the Future in Decatur, AL is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to support a 24-hour manufacturing facility. You will perform maintenance on mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and heating systems, read manuals, and align equipment to OEM specifications.

Responsibilities include preventative and predictive maintenance, documenting actions, prioritizing tasks by safety and production needs, and collaborating with other trades to keep lines up.

Qualifications

• This role requires strong troubleshooting skills and a solid understanding of mechanical components and tolerances.
• Experience interpreting manuals, drawings, and specifications to determine repair methods.
• Flexibility to work 2nd/3rd shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance tasks on mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and heating systems in a 24-hour facility.
• Read equipment manuals and drawings to determine repair methods.
• Perform precision maintenance and equipment alignment following safe-work practices.
• Identify preventive and predictive maintenance needs and execute accordingly.
• Document all maintenance actions, parts, and time accurately.
