Job summary

AmeriBolt in Sycamore, AL is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the 2nd shift to operate and maintain mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, ventilation, and electrical systems. The role includes preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment and upgrading tools and technologies on site.

The candidate will work with CNC machine tools and diagnostic instruments, troubleshoot PLCs and control systems, and collaborate with the production team to ensure top-quality materials for clients.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to safely use all required power tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Strong electrical and mechanical maintenance experience.
• Ability to read equipment, component and wiring drawings and schematics.
• Willing to work a shift schedule and overtime as needed, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all company policies including Health, Safety and Quality Assurance policies.
• Trouble shoots and repair plant equipment and processes.
• Provide support to the production team to produce superior quality materials that meet/exceed client needs.
• Locates and diagnoses failures, replace defective components, performs basic troubleshooting using standard equipment and diagrams.
• Performs preventative maintenance on equipment as specified.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe shop and production floor.
• Electrical & Electromechanical focus; test circuits and install/repair power and control systems.
• Disassemble machines and repair or replace parts; document maintenance activities.
