Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required or preferred.
• One year retail or related experience is preferred.
• Prior experience as a Meat Cutter or Apprentice is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cut and weigh steaks, chops, etc. for individual servings.
• Produce value-added products per established guidelines.
• Cut, trim, and bone carcass sections or prime cuts as directed.
• Follow recipes to grind and tray meats and make sausage and other products.
• Price, date, wrap and/or bag meat products as instructed.
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well stocked department.
• Notify manager if products and supplies need to be ordered.
