Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club, Inc. in Maple Shade, NJ, is seeking a meat department team member to cut, wrap, and merchandize meat to our freshness and safety standards. You will assist Members, prepare cuts, and help maintain a clean, efficient department.

The role requires completion of a training program or apprenticeship and prior meat cutting experience; at least 18 years old. We offer weekly pay and comprehensive benefits to support your health and future.

Qualifications

• Completion of a training program/apprenticeship required.
• Previous meat cutting experience required.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Engages and assists Members by making recommendations along with answering questions regarding meat, poultry, and seafood.
• Prepares special cuts of meat ordered by Members.
• Cuts, grinds, and/or processes fresh meats to company cutting standards.
• Weighs, packages, wraps, and labels cuts of meat, poultry, and seafood to company packaging standards.
• Rotates meats, poultry, seafood, prepared foods, and cheeses according to expiration dates.
