The candidate should have at least one year of meat cutting/food handling experience, strong customer-service focus, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Prolonged standing and lifting up to 50 pounds are required.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience in meat cutting, packaging and food handling (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Operates meat processing equipment.
• Uses hand tools and power equipment to cut meat to specifications.
• Tenderizes, packages, weighs, labels, and prices meat products.
• Vacuum packs meat for distribution.
• Evaluates quality control and ensures workspace is sanitary.
• Ensures products comply with USDA guidelines.
• Receives and stores meat when delivered and ensures quality and freshness.
• Notifies manager of problems affecting quality.
• Meets productivity, accuracy, and quality standards.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
