Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club in Edison, NJ, is seeking a Meat Cutter to join our Meat Department team. You will cut, grind, weigh, wrap, and label fresh and processed meats to our standards while maintaining inventory and safety guidelines.

Qualified candidates have completed a training program or apprenticeship, with prior meat cutting experience; wrapping machines knowledge is a plus. We offer weekly pay, benefits, and opportunities for growth in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of a training program/apprenticeship required.
• Previous meat cutting experience required.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Engages with Members by answering questions and making meat recommendations.
• Cuts, grinds, and processes fresh meats to company cutting standards.
• Rotates meats, poultry, seafood, and prepared foods and maintains inventory.
• Maintains cleanliness and sanitation in the meat department and displays.
