Qualifications

• Customer service experience in a retail or grocery setting.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices.
• Ability to stock, merchandise and assist customers in meat/seafood departments.

Responsibilities

• Order, cut, wrap and label meat products to quality and safety standards.
• Assist in controlling shrink and inventory through proper handling.
• Provide customer information and help with product selection.
• Operate department tools and equipment safely (knives, wrapping machine, tenderizer).
• Monitor pricing, signage and product placement to maximize sales.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked meat counters and service cases.
• Assist in preparing ready-to-go meat products.
• Slice and weigh deli meats and cheeses for display.
• Take customer orders and ensure timely completion to satisfaction.
