Job summary

IDEX is seeking a Machine Operator to safely and efficiently run production equipment for components and assemblies. You will load materials, monitor performance, and ensure quality within an ISO 9001 system, while maintaining a clean, safe workspace.

The role emphasizes following standard work, reporting issues, and supporting continuous improvement on a first shift (Mon-Thurs, 6:00am-4:30pm) in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Manufacturing, production, assembly, or machine operation experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow written work instructions and standard operating procedures.
• Basic computer skills and ability to enter information into manufacturing or ERP systems.
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and decimals.
• Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate manufacturing equipment and workstations per work instructions and safety rules.
• Load materials, components, and workpieces into machines or fixtures.
• Monitor operation and product flow to meet cycle times and output targets.
• Inspect parts for conformance to quality standards and work instructions.
• Identify and report defects, issues, or shortages to supervisor.
• Complete production docs within ERP/manufacturing systems for records.
• Follow ISO 9001 quality processes for consistency and compliance.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area with 6S practices.
• Follow safety policies and PPE requirements on site.
• Support continuous improvement by identifying safety, quality, delivery, and productivity opportunities.
• Collaborate with team members and other departments to reach goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
